Since I moved for school, I found it hard to find other like minded people. I am interested in getting to know more wiccans/pagans who are on the east coast.(Come out, come out, where ever you are!!
So I decided to take maters in my own hands and started a group for fellow pagans and it's going strong. There are weekly and regularclasses and local circles for the public. LOL.)..yes, an occassional get together for starbucks or ale would be great!!
You could also try looking for people on Witch Vox DOT com though not everyone there considers themselves specifically "Wiccan" and you may also have some luck in the religion/spirituality forums here on POF.
Good luck (and blessed be) : Hi, I just started looking thru the forums last night...again this morning and found your post.
There are several Yahoo groups as well some general some are path specific.groups DOTyahoo DOTcom/group/Ontario_Wicca is a general group but a good place to start.
If you are looking for groups in the GTA go to torontopaganconference DOTcom their forums list some.Wicca is the most prominent of the Pagan Religions, but it's not the only one. There are other parts of the world in which Christianity came very late or not at all, so those practices have survived and are still flourishing.I actually think there is a WICCAN organization in scarborough that you can get in touch with about said events. I know alot of people there as well & they're all GREAT people. I was just wondering if there were any groups here in Scarberia ...I'm not WICCAN myself, but I remember one of my ex's was a part of said group. If anyone lives out in the west part of Toronto I'd strongly suggest they look into their web site ! Last time I checked my ex's Marriage License it said I was a Wiccan.... So I'm not sure if it counts any more...Feel free to mail me if you so desire.... I guess I'll have to call Lady T, see if she has any or might know of any Thnx for your post !!!Explore all the mythologies, Greek, Egyptian, Celtic... Wicca, as a religious movement, started in the 1940s/50s, not several millenia ago - by a fellow who took inspiration from several sources, including eastern mysticism and ceremonial magick, to create what we now know as Gardinerianism. Wicca, as a religion, focuses on the act of union between The Lord and The Lady - as symbolised by the Chalice & Blade during ritual. There is no hard and fast definition of what Wicca is as there are different Wiccan Traditions. In some traditions, there is a sense of duotheism in that it's believed that all the gods are one god and all the goddesses are one goddess.
